Information we collect
When you contact us through the website, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, and message. When you subscribe to new-episode alerts, we collect your email address. When you send in a theory, we collect the title and the theory, and your email address only if you give us one. We do not collect anything automatically beyond standard server logs.
New-episode email list
If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you subscribed, and whether you confirmed the subscription. We use it only to tell you when a new episode is out. You can unsubscribe from any email, and we delete addresses that unsubscribe or that our email provider reports as bouncing.
Theories you send us
We store the title and the theory you write, and your email address if you give us one. If you tick “Submit anonymously” we store neither your email address nor your IP address with your theory, and there is no way for us to work out who sent it. We use IP addresses only to limit how often the form can be used, and we discard them within a day. A copy of each theory is emailed to Aspen. Theories are never published on the site, and we keep them until we delete them.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to reply to you and, if you subscribed, to tell you about new episodes. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
